What is Kingdom Advisors?

Certified Kingdom Advisor Financial Planning

What is Kingdom Advisors and why the certification, CKA?

Kingdom Advisors is an organization that brings Christian financial advisors together to serve as advocates for God’s kingdom. These professionals—like myself—integrate their Christian faith into every aspect of their financial advisory practice.

Back in the late 1990s, I was part of a ministry called Christian Financial Concepts, led by Larry Burkett. I served as a referral source for individuals and families seeking help with stewardship, budgeting, debt reduction, and financial guidance. Some of you may even remember attending those classes.

Later, Larry Burkett and Ron Blue co-founded Kingdom Advisors in 2003. Their vision was to gather experienced advisors who were passionate about biblical financial wisdom and provide them with training, a strong community, and a professional designation. That designation—Certified Kingdom Advisor (CKA®)—is now recognized as the gold standard for financial professionals committed to biblically wise counsel.

For the past eight years, I’ve felt God calling me to pursue this path. In fact, I now realize I was being disobedient by delaying. But in 2023, I completed the intensive biblical and financial training through Indiana Wesleyan University and officially became a Certified Kingdom Advisor on June 2, 2023.

To become a CKA®, a financial advisor must:

  • Be in good professional standing
  • Have at least 10 years of experience
  • Complete rigorous biblical and financial coursework

This training equips me to guide clients toward a more biblically grounded approach to stewardship. My prayer is that it leads each client to:

  1. A closer relationship with Christ
  2. Greater contentment in their financial lives
  3. A heart of cheerful generosity

The curriculum amazed me—it opened my eyes to how deeply money is woven into our walk with Christ. I’m excited to use this platform to help others grow in faith and financial wisdom.

God gives each of us opportunities to share His love, help others walk more closely with Him, and even reach the lost. This designation better equips me to do just that.
